I well remember a few years ago popping into our local video store and picking up a film called “Kenny”. Kenny Smith, the lead character who for very good reasons calls himself a plumber. Kenny is not your average wellington plumber but a Plumber he certainly is. He plumbs and owns a Portaloo business, yikes!! and works in the proverbial city of Melbourne Australia,
Kenny is a likeable guy, says it how he sees it and barley raises a smile through
out the entire film. The humour is dry but in parts incredibly funny.
The story is a hilarious look at Kenny’s life and what he gets up to on a day to day basis. He is very proud of his business achievements and is filmed documentary style in parts.
One needs to be aware about the tone of language used in the movie which includes regular expletives and on the job “verbose” as would be normal practise for a whole host of Ockers i imagine. That being said the film is very worthwhile watching.
